Designed to help a person feed themselves autonomously thus reducing need for spoon feeding it helps increase amount of food consumed and reduces incidence of choking. The beaker had graduated measurement marks on the side allowing the monitoring of food consumption to be easily conducted.

It is dishwasher and microwave safe but not suitable for liquid drinks.
